Product Description

HOLCIM VENT FB are non-combustible, hydrophobic stone wool boards with a disturbed fiber arrangement, covered on one side with black glass veil. They are an ideal solution for demanding investments, combining durability, very good thermal and acoustic insulation with increased mechanical resistance.

The black glass veil not only protects the board surface from damage and air leakage, but also improves the aesthetics of transparent facade cladding.

Usage

Key properties

Outer layer of thermal and acoustic insulation for ventilated facades with semi-transparent cladding or visible gaps (e.g., perforated panels, aluminum slats, facade boards)
Frame walls in residential, office, commercial, industrial, and public utility buildings
For both new construction and thermal renovation of existing buildings

Black glass veil: aesthetic finish and protection against air leakage from the stone wool space
Excellent thermal insulation: λD = 0.034 W/mK
Reaction to fire: class A1 – non-flammable product
Water repellency – the boards do not absorb water, maintaining their thermal insulation properties.
Excellent acoustics: effectively suppresses ambient noise
Dimensional stability: even in changing weather conditions
Vapor permeability: allows the partition to “breathe” and reduces the risk of condensation
